The Ugandan Community in Qatar – UGACOQ is a non-political, non-profit, non-religious and, a non-ethnic formal association comprised of persons living in the State of Qatar and other concerned global well-wishers, who are of Ugandan origin or have ties to Uganda.


VISION STATEMENT:

One of the main objectives of this association is to foster the well-being of all Ugandans living in the State of Qatar by creating a sustainable and relevant socio-welfare organisation and Network that will stand the test of time as we seek to support Ugandans living in the State of Qatar.
Through this community, we are encouraged to unite under one umbrella so as to form a cohesive and viable front to address the numerous issues that concern us.
Ugandans living in the State of Qatar and neighbouring areas are encouraged to be active members of the association.

OBJECTIVES:

UGACOQ was developed with the understanding that there is a need to provide professionals with diverse opportunities for networking, and professional development, exploiting the untapped potential inherent in the various sectors like inter Qatar-Uganda agribusiness, industry and trade.
By this association, we come together as Ugandans to celebrate our national heritage and unity, with highlights such as our National Independence Day which is commemorated annually on 09th October.
Over the years, there has been a significant increase in the number of Ugandans living in the State of Qatar, with a projected surge of our population here in Qatar set to take off from 2017 in the buildup for Qatar 2022 World Cup.
