It displays items spanning from the Jurassic age through to the early Islamic period and up to the present day, across twelve themes: from Islamic Art to Qatar Heritage, Vehicles, Jewelry & Currency.
Visitors to the museum can explore one of the most diverse collections of any Doha museum including the world’s largest private collection of swords and weaponry. Among the Museum highlights, Traditional Qatari House, the Syrian House, the Qur’an room, classic car collections, jewelry and Textile, carpets, fossils, pearl diving, wood and metal works, and much more.
Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani’s collections reveal the common thread of cultures that connect communities from as far apart as Southern Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia.
