QOC launches campaign to support Team Qatar at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022
Together with the Qatar Football Association, the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) has begun a campaign to promote Team Qatar at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will take place from November 20 to December 18. (QFA).
The campaign aims to unite the entire country in support of Team Qatar as they prepare to compete in their first FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022.
During the campaign, the QOC will post a number of promotional videos on its social media platforms featuring team Qatar stars in other sports including the Olympic gold medalist Fares Ibrahim (Weightlifting), Abdulrahman Hassan (Athletics), Maryam Al Boinin (Equestrian), Haya Diab (Fencing), Hayat Ali (Basketball) and Saleh Al Athba (Shooting) who invite local football fans to support team Qatar during FIFA World Cup.
The campaign will also showcase students of Aspire Academy which helped prepare a huge number of Team Qatar players who will participate in FIFA World Cup for the first time in their careers.
The QOC media team will cover team Qatar matches during the tournament and interact with thrilling atmosphere at the World Cup stadiums. The QOC will also cover the activities of QFA promotional campaign to support Team Qatar.
The campaign is in response to the QOC’s pledge to assist Qatar’s national teams at international competitions and to extend an invitation to all segments of the community to support our national team during its historic debut at the FIFA World Cup.
On November 20, the host nation of Qatar will face Ecuador in the tournament’s inaugural game. Next, on November 25, Senegal will play Qatar, then on November 29, the Netherlands.
