The national squad of Qatar will compete in the World Cup for the first time ever this year.

Abdullah Al Ahrak, a midfielder for Qatar, has been upset by the fact that he will not be able to participate in his first World Cup due to a cruciate ligament injury.

The Qatar Football Association conveyed the tragic news of the midfielder and announced that Al Ahrak will be out for nine months in a tweet on Monday.

In light of the news, the 25-year-old has commented on his injury by tweeting out, “God willing.”

Al Ahrak is considered one of the leading offensive midfielders on team Qatar.

While Al Ahrak’s will be missed at the international event, he will also miss out on the local scene, sitting out of the 2023/2024 QNB Stars League season with his club Al-Duhail.

Less than 100 days left until Team Qatar’s opening match against Ecuador at the Al Bayt Stadium, and we can only hope that the team’s roster will stay fit.

The first game against Qatar will be treated like a championship, according to Ecuador coach Gustavo Alfaro, who noted that it is an honor for his team to compete in the FIFA World Cup opener.

The largest football competition in the world will make its first-ever appearance in Qatar.
