Qatar to host FIFA U-17 World Cup for next five editions from 2025 to 2029
At a meeting on March 14, 2024, the FIFA Council declared that Qatar would serve as the host nation for the FIFA U-17 World Cup’s next five editions, which will take place between 2025 and 2029. The FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will now comprise 48 teams, will be hosted by Qatar for the next five editions, as confirmed by the most recent FIFA Council meeting.
Following a global request for ideas to host both tournaments, this choice was taken. Utilizing the football infrastructure already in place was the main goal in order to guarantee the tournament’s sustainability and efficiency.
Furthermore, Morocco will hold the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup every year beginning in 2025. There are now 24 teams participating in the competition.
