The population of Qatar reached nearly 3 million (2,985,029) at the end of September, according to statistics from the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) that was made public on Sunday. This represents a monthly rise of 1.6 percent compared to last August.
According to PSA, the statistic also shows a 13.2 percent yearly growth since September 2021.

The latest data comprises 2,167,885 males and 817,144 females, including Qataris and non-Qataris within Qatar.
Those who were outside Qatar as of September 30, 2022 are not included in the figure.
In one month, the population increased by 47,229 from the 2,937,800 recorded by the end of August.
