After an exceptional performance against the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority team, Minister of Transport H E Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti declared Qatar Airways the winners of the third edition of the Minister of Transport’s Padel Championship Cup.
In front of a sizable fan base, the squad defeated QCAA 2-0 in the Padel-In Aspire Zone final faceoff. The Qatar Airways squad was in complete command and played flawlessly to close off every game.
Minister Al Sulaiti also expressed gratitude to the gold sponsor Milaha and the two official sponsors, Mwani Qatar and QTerminals, for their support of the competition. He then gave the two teams their awards.

The Chief Executive Officer of Mwani Qatar, Capt. Abdulla Mohamed Al Khanji, the Group CEO of Milaha Fahad Saad Al Qahtani, the Acting CEO of Mowasalat (Karwa), Ahmad Hassan Al Obaidly, the Managing Director and CEO of Qatar Rail, H E Sheikh Jabor Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Director General of the Qatar Aeronautical Academy, and a number of officials from the MOT and transportation sector attended the match.
“We are happy to have organized the Minister of Transport’s Ramadan Padel Championship Cup for a third consecutive year, especially since this competition is a response to employee requests at transportation-related entities,” stated Ali Al Emadi, the tournament manager.
Al Emadi stated that they are excited to host again another fantastic competition the next year. He claimed that because it provides a chance for the players of the participating entities to advance their talent in the game, this competition represents the strong relationship amongst transportation entities throughout Qatar.
37 teams from nine transportation organizations competed in this year’s championship: MOT, Mwani Qatar, QTerminals, Milaha, Qatar Airways, QCAA, Qatar Aeronautical Academy, Mowasalat (Karwa), and Qatar Rail. These organizations made a major contribution to the tournament’s previous two iterations.
