Qatar 2022: Richarlison gem voted Goal of the Tournament

For the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Richarlison’s bicycle kick against Serbia has been selected as the Hyundai Goal of the Tournament.

Richarlison, who was 13 yards out and facing the goal, received a cross from outside the penalty area from Vinicius Junior, who informed Ronaldo that he learnt how to do it by watching Luka Modric. In order to secure a 2-0 victory, “Pombo” dutifully flicked it up and acrobatically fired it past Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.

The Goal of the Tournament was first awarded in 2006. Its previous recipients are Maxi Rodriguez, Diego Forlan, James Rodriguez and Benjamin Pavard.
