Music, sports, books and parades reflect Qatar 2022 buzz at Katara
With a notable presence of visitors, including foreign tourists of various nationalities and supporters of the competing World Cup teams, the Katara Cultural Village continues to present a diverse panorama of events and activities as part of its festive program for the ongoing FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Katara is a well-known tourist site that draws World Cup supporters. They find it to be a magical location to enjoy their time and learn about many cultures via the range of facilities and the beauty of architecture. Katara has a variety of aesthetics and amenities. Many people now use the Katara buildings’ creative murals as the backdrop for their selfies and photographs.

Joseph from France said: “I was very impressed by these murals, as I am a fan of graffiti art. I also admired the sculptures and works of art scattered throughout the Katara Cultural Village.”
Mario from Argentina said: “The place here is magical and beautiful. We took a lot of memorial photos, whether with people or with these beautiful works of art. I also loved the architecture of the Cultural District, its view of the sea, and its diverse and luxurious buildings.”
The visitors expressed their happiness at visiting the cultural district, stressing that it offers tourists an integrated tourism and cultural experience.
“The beauty here is that you can learn about many things at the same time, such as the culture of the people of the country and other cultures, in addition to getting to know the local cuisine and its delicious dishes, and meeting people. of various nationalities. Personally, I loved the art exhibitions and the interest in presenting the local culture in the best way,” Naomi from Ukraine said.
Dr. Najeeb Nazim, the general supervisor of Katara Oud Center said: “We offer three daily sessions for the public to listen and enjoy the playing of famous artists Siddiqui, Najib Nazim, Riad Boualem, Mohamed Al-Sulaiti, Faisal Al Najm on the oud instrument. They are all intended for the general public. We will also present two lectures on the history of the Oud, in which we will discuss the various stages during the 5,000 years of the history of this ancient instrument.”
Dr. Nazim indicated that the audience will meet on Wednesday evening at 7pm at the centre’s headquarters in Building 6 to attend a distinguished and special concert with the participation of a group of well-known musicians.
Meanwhile, near the model of the largest sports shoe in the world, the activities of the Qatar Society of Engineers were launched dubbed “Football and Sports Engineering.” It includes a variety of activities for children and adults which assess the performance of football players by tracking the movement of players while dealing with the ball. Parents can obtain a report about their children’s football future after conducting simple tests using artificial intelligence.
These events feature numerous prominent sports organizations and businesses, including Paris Saint-Germain, Lusail Football Academy, Asura, and N.S.A Tech, the latter two of which are artificial intelligence-focused.
Every day at 3:30 pm, the Qatari Armed Forces Music Battalion and the Military Show Center stage a military parade along Katara shoreline.
