How to Submit a Change of Employer Form Online in Qatar

Workers in Qatar can now change employers by completing a new form and submitting it to MADSLA online. To begin, the employee must communicate with the employer in advance and agree on the last working day before simply filing the form online, and this must be followed in accordance with the contract regarding the length of the notice period.

MADSLA has replaced the old e-form with a new one, in which the details of the previous employer have been removed. As a result, the employee will not need the old employer’s approval to switch to their new employer.

This is a specialised e-service for notifying the old employer of a mutually agreed-upon workplace change and changing the workplace of fixed-term or indefinite contracts as well as unjustified firing.

NOTE: The date you submit the new form to change employers will be the first day of your notice period with your current employer.

Please keep in mind that these steps are only for workers who have completed their contract or if the previous employer is violating the employee’s rights. If the worker has been in the current job for less than two years, the notification period is 30 days; if the worker has been in the current job for more than two years, the notification period is 60 days.
For example, if your contract expires on December 31 and you’ve been with the company for less than two years, you must give your current employer 30 days’ notice, i.e. on November 30.
