FIFA reveals sites for World Cup fan viewing parties
Among the six places around the world disclosed by FIFA on Monday for fan festivals during the World Cup in Qatar, which will be hosted from November 20 to December 18, 2022, are Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro and Dubai Harbour in the United Arab Emirates.
Official game viewing parties and music events will also be held at the Plaza de la Repblica in Mexico City, the Anhangaba Valley in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and downtown entertainment locations in London, the United Kingdom, and Seoul, South Korea.
The events will “only be open to consumers of legal drinking age”.
According to a statement from FIFA, some activities will be free to enter, while others will require a fee.
The electronic music festival Aravia, which would be held at Al Wakrah in Doha for 28 days and feature 56 live performers and DJ performances, was among the events that FIFA further detailed as being planned in Qatar during the tournament.
