Blue Salon support local designers ahead of FIFA World Cup

A well-known luxury retailer in Qatar, Blue Salon, collaborates with regional designers to create and develop distinctive things like backpacks, candles, and opulent scarves made of 100% chamois silk.

The works of designers Fahad Ali, Neasa Turbidy, and Mahmoud Hajo are now on display in Blue Salon stores after being nominated for an award honoring their distinctive and inventive ideas.

Under the sponsorship of Mr. Ashraf Abu Issa, chairman and CEO of Abu Issa Holding, the upscale department store hosted a meeting to show their appreciation and support for the regional artists.

We especially like to congratulate Ms. Fatima Al Kuwari, the ceramic collection’s designer. “Blue Salon is happy to work closely with these local artists, on a mission to support the local culture and share it with the globe during the FIFA World Cup,” Mr. Ashraf Abu Issa remarked during the ceremony.

“We are thrilled to share this trip with our local creative designers, since the goal was to help these designers get their name out there on a local and worldwide standard,” said Ashraf Abu Issa, chairman of the board of directors of Abu Issa Holding. The level of inventiveness that these people shared with us makes us pleased because it shows the commitment of Abu Issa Holding Group and Blue Salon to continuously encourage local talent.

This cooperative community involvement is anticipated to have a positive effect by highlighting local talent in Qatar’s burgeoning design scene.

By giving them the chance to create designs for large department shops, Blue Salon strongly promotes the idea of local artists and designers and encourages them to participate in significant events in Qatar.
