Black Stars Arrive in Spain to a Warm Reception From Fans Ahead of Nicaragua Friendly
The senior national football team of Ghana, the Black Stars, arrived in Lorca, Spain ahead of their international friendly against Nicaragua on Tuesday evening. Ghana will engage the South Americans at the Estadio Francisco Artes Carrasco, as preparations continue ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.
In a video posted on social media, the team were welcomed by fans in Spain as they touched down.
The Black Stars will be hoping to make amends after their defeat to Brazil on Friday, in the first of two friendlies during the international break.
Coach Otto Addo will be working with 27 players after Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey returned to London following a minor injury.
Ghana qualified for the World Cup after edging out Nigeria in the play-offs in March. The 2010 World Cup semi-finalist have been drawn in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
