Arab League underscores significance of stopping war, maintaining territorial integrity of Sudan
The Arab League has emphasized that preventing conflict and preserving Sudan’s territorial integrity are two of its top priorities. It has also stated that it is prepared to support the Sudanese State in any initiative related to these goals and to offer any necessary assistance to bring the parties in Sudan together.
This occurred at the meeting between Sudanese Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Taqaddum) leader Dr. Abdalla Hamdok and his visiting group in Cairo, which was facilitated by Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
Hamdok talked about the Taqaddum operation during the meeting, which aims to quickly achieve a ceasefire and a political process by bringing all parties together in an inclusive Sudanese dialogue in order to save the Sudanese State, put an end to the slaughter of the Sudanese people, and protect the nation and its achievements.
