Web Summit Qatar 2024 culminates in inking 24 MoUs between Qatari institutions, global technology firms
Web Summit Qatar 2024, the world’s largest tech event, concluded on a high note with the signing of 24 memorandums of understanding between Qatari institutions and the most well-known international technology companies, with the goal of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in Qatar, according to QNA.
Among the memorandums of agreement signed were one between Qatar Development Bank and Ooredoo, and another between QN Bank and the Web Summit, announcing the bank’s sponsorship of the event for the following four years. Taking care of The Web Summit is part of the State of Qatar’s efforts to realize the Third National Development Strategy 2024–2030, which is the last phase of realizing the Qatar National Vision 2030. Thirty percent of the 380 speakers, 148 partners, and 401 investors in the international audience were women. In his own words, HE Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, delivered a summary of the Digital Agenda 2030, which was introduced at the Web Summit week, and talked about the most recent advancements in this field.
