Cameroon stun Brazil to make history, but eliminated
At Lusail Stadium on Friday, Vincent Aboubakar scored an incredible header in stoppage time (90+2 minutes) to earn Cameroon a surprising 1-0 victory over Brazil.
Aboubakar was dismissed after receiving a second yellow card for celebrating by taking off his shirt, but he helped Cameroon become the first African country to defeat the five-time World Cup champions.
Rigobert Song’s side, however failed to go through the group stage, as Switzerland edged Serbia 3-2 in a thrilling match at Stadium 974 to finish as runners-up in Group G.

Brazil, who topped the group despite defeat, will play their last 16 game against South Korea on Monday while Switzerland face Portugal the following day.
Coach Tite, as expected, made sweeping changes to Brazil squad resting nine starters from the last match against Switzerland ahead of the last-16 stage. Defender Eder Militao and midfielder Fred were the only players who were retained.
With Neymar nursing an injury watching from stands, Dani Alves became Brazil’s oldest World Cup captain at the age of 39.
