Fan fervour at Hayya Fan Zone in Lusail

The football fiesta goes beyond the field by showcasing a variety of activities for people of all ages, which supporters can take advantage of even after the game. Hayya Fan Zone in Lusail South Promenade is one of the go-to places for anyone who wants to take part in the spectacular tournament celebration outside of the stadiums.

Over 3,500 individuals can be accommodated within the former drive-in theatre, which has been turned into a family-friendly fan zone. On its jumbotron, 3D screen, and mega screens, it will broadcast every football match. There are also several selections of food and drink.

“If anyone is looking for a small, family-friendly Fan Zone, Hayya Fan Zone in Lusail is great. Not huge, not crowded,” said Jusztina from Iran.

Additionally, there will be concerts by local bands and international artists where audience members may sing along and dance to the music. Fans can try their ice-skating skills in the open ice rink, or marvel at and be inspired by watching the Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty ice ballet performances.

The Multimedia Pavilion puts one football talent to the test with a variety of games including goal kicker, football quizzes, and sumo wrestling-inspired activities with players decked up in football gear. There is also a VIP area option which is a luxurious football viewing from the VIP lounge.

To get to the Hayya Fan Zone, take the metro, get down at Legtaifiya station (Red line), transfer to Orange tram and get off at the Marina station. From Marina station, it’s a five-minute walk towards the Lusail South Promenade.

Regular admission to enter the Hayya Fan Zone is QR50 where one can watch daily live screenings of every match, enjoy non-stop entertainment from DJs and international bands, live entertainment from caricaturists to magicians. Add-ons for multimedia pavilion or ice-skating costs QR25. Hayya cardholders get a discount on the entry fee.

For QR375, one can experience the entire Hayya Fan Zone, including ice skating, the multimedia pavilion, and ice ballet performances, with the Hayya Superfan package.

Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty, two ice ballet performances, cost QR300 apiece. Holders of Hayya cards are entitled to cheaper entry fees if they buy tickets at the door. Daily hours for Hayya Fan Zone are 12 p.m. to 1 a.m.
