In a world-premiere acrobatic spectacular, Qetaifan Projects is thrilled to announce their partnership with creative director Giuliano Peparini. On November 19, the Nuovo Teatro production Marco Balsamo will debut at the seawater canal on Qetaifan Island North.
The show “The Fisherman’s Dream” captures Qatar’s incredible progress throughout the years as well as its rich history and culture. The production will be a visual spectacle made up of 65 performers, including acrobats, contortionists, slack walkers, and dancers, all supported by video and visual effects that will light up the sky and be inspired by the illustrious history of Qatar’s pearl divers and their search for the dana pearls.
“Qetaifan Island North is ready to welcome all visitors coming to Qatar and looking to enjoy their time during November and December, we are excited about this collaboration and are looking forward to the spectacular show that will be presented on the island.” says Hesham Sharaf, Chief Operating Officer, Qetaifan Projects. Further, “It represents a glimpse of what is going to happen on a daily basis as it pertains to the entertainment canal show, it is simply a teaser.” He added.

“This production is the first of its kind in Qatar. It is about the rich history of the country from the pearl divers through to the discovery of oil and gas. It’s incredible to be working on a world first like this and I am honoured to be bringing this show to life.” says Giuliano Peparini. Giuliano Peparini is famed for his shows around the world and is recognised as one of the most prolific and eclectic directors and choreographers on the international scene. Amongst his most recognised works, he collaborated with Franco Dragone (Cirque du Soleil) for over ten years and created shows in the USA, Italy, France and China, with Dolce & Gabbana for the biggest fashion shows and for many television networks. His work has been seen by more than 270 million people.The production will be performed daily from 19 November to 5 January at the Linear Park canal at the Qetaifan Island North.
It is a superb opportunity for visitors to take in the splendor of the recently constructed Qetaifan Island North and will be accessible to the general public. From November 19–28, 2022, the program airs at 18:30, and from November 29–January 5, 2023, it airs at 19:30. Real estate development firm Qetaifan Projects was established in October 2017. Katara Hospitality, a renowned international hotel owner, developer, and operator based in Qatar, is the only owner of the property.
Giuliano Peparini, a Rome native, started working as a professional artist at the age of 15. He decides to attend the School of American Ballet to hone his abilities after dancing for a TV show and then in an excellent musical in Italy.
