World Cup opening ceremony to begin at 5pm
Two hours before Qatar’s opening match against Ecuador on November 20 at Al Bayt Stadium, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opening ceremony will start at 5 p.m.
The venue’s gates will open at 3pm on the venue’s opening day, according to Khalid Al Mawlawi, Deputy Director General, Marketing, Communications & Event Experience at Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), who spoke during a host nation media conference on Thursday.
Later speaking to The Peninsula, Al Mawlawi urged fans to reach the 60,000-seat venue early to avoid inconvenience.
I’m telling everyone with a ticket to arrive at least two hours before the opening ceremony starts.
Al Mawlawi gave the following response when asked about the opening ceremony acts, which are anticipated to be spectacular: “Let’s wait and see.”
Additionally, he stated that the participating teams would begin to arrive in Qatar on November 7 with Japan being the first team to arrive in Doha.
