With a capacity for 478 vehicles, the Lusail Bus Depot has established a record as the largest electric bus depot in the Guinness World Records Book.
On October 16, 2022, the Ministry of Transport and The Public Works Authority – Ashghal received the official Guiness World Records Certificate.

The Depot is the first building in the Middle East to use solar energy; it has 11,000 PV solar panels that can produce 4 megawatts of power per day to supply its buildings.
It also features a special zone for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) e-buses; the newest transportation mode in Qatar.
The Depot consists of 24 multipurpose buildings, including staff accommodation buildings at a capacity of 1400 people.
