Qatari national team begins local camp, tomorrow’s training open to public
As part of the preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will be held from November 20 to December 18, the Qatari national football team began its local camp on Saturday and will continue through next Wednesday.
According to the Qatar Football Association, the team participated in a first practice at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium at Al Sadd Club and will continue on Sunday with a second practice that will be accessible to the public and the media (QFA).
The open training is aimed at providing communication between the team and the fans as part of the promotional campaign launched by the association to support the Qatari team in the World Cup.
The Qatari team delegation will leave next Wednesday, at the end of the short local camp, for Marbella, Spain, to start a new camp there, which is an extension of the camps that started last June in Spain and then Austria and continued until last month.
During the FIFA international window for September, the Qatari team played three friendlies in Vienna, Austria, where coach Sanchez fielded some of the substitute players as well as young players to give them the opportunity before deciding on the 26-man final list that will compete in the World Cup and will be submitted to FIFA by November 13.
