World Cup revenues to amount to over $17bn
Nasser al-Khater, CEO of Qatar 2022 World Cup, has stated that the World Cup’s estimated profit is to be in the neighborhood of $17 billion.
According to him, the $8 billion in infrastructure and development costs for the World Cup are comparable to those of past World Cups.
This indicates that Qatar will profit from the World Cup both during and after the competition, he continued. “This means we will obtain earnings that are double the cost.”
According to studies done by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, between 3 and 4 billion people worldwide are anticipated to watch the Qatar World Cup 2022, he claimed.
According to a research, Qatar is expecting up to a million visitors during the World Cup, including 12,000 media representatives.
The CEO of the Qatar 2022 World Cup finished by stating that, in addition to the significant presence of influencers through social media, some unaccredited media professionals will attend the World Cup to cover more World Cup-related events. (QNA)
