Doha steps up preparations for 2023 World Championships

From May 7–14 of next year, Doha will host a fantastic World Judo Championships.

In view of the coordination process that goes into planning every major tournament, a delegation from the International Judo Federation (IJF) commenced a thorough site visit to Doha.

Khalid bin Hamad Al Attiya, the vice president and director general of the local organizing committee, emphasized that he is convinced Doha will be prepared to host the greatest judokas in the world the next year.

“Every major component is in place. As we are ready to conduct a new and thrilling event edition of the world championship, our responsibility over the coming year is to put everything together, “he stated.

Everyone was impressed by Qatar’s preparations to host the world championships, according to Claudiu Chimoiu, who was in charge of the IJF team. He also praised the LOC members’ collaboration with the IJF to give athletes access to top-notch facilities.

“During my visit, we made good strides in our planning. One of the objectives was to strengthen ties between important members of the LOC and the IJF since, in Chimoiu’s words, “that united team will lay the groundwork for a successful edition of championships seven months from now.

“Every major component is in place. As we are ready to conduct a new and thrilling event edition of the world championship, our responsibility over the coming year is to put everything together, “he stated.
