US Film Festival at Katara begins tomorrow 1st September, 2022
The Embassy of the United States in Qatar and the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara are inviting movie-lovers to a “US Film Festival” from September 1 to 3 at the Katara Drama Theatre.
This is in celebration of the Hispanic Heritage Month in the US. Three renowned films featuring Hispanic protagonists will be shown every night: the movie Coco will be screened tomorrow, September 1; Encanto, September 2, and Dora and the Lost City of Gold on September 3.
All will be screened at 7pm. Tickets are free but a registration is needed through the US Embassy in Qatar website qa.usembassy.gov.
US citizens honor Hispanic accomplishments and contributions to the American story every year during Hispanic Heritage Month, which also highlights the variety of the US populace. The official theme for Hispanic Heritage Month this year is “Unidos: Inclusivity for a Better Nation,” which is consistent with American values that stronger communities are created when all voices are heard.
