59th Africa day celebrated in Doha
Qatar will continue to strengthen its fruitful and continuous relations with Africa. The 59th day of Africa is being celebrated in different parts of the world, which commemorates the founding of the African Union, which was founded by Africans to respect their freedom and to protect their common interests.
This holiday has been celebrated in Qatar Doha diplomatic club in the presence of more than 30 African countries mission leaders and representatives of other international organizations.
Ambassador Abdullah Bin Hassan Al Jabir, Director of African Affairs in Qatar, made an opening speech on this holiday, said that his country has a long-term friendship and strong relationship with Africa and has a special desire to strengthen this and continue its holistic ties.
It has been noted that such events are to commemorate the freedom struggles that the continent has passed and the friendship and other benefits that came after the establishment of the union. It has been emphasized that in order to achieve Africa’s 2026 development goal, it is important to strengthen the relationship that the country has with the rest of the world.
It has been said that there are many indicators for Qatar to continue strengthening the real role that it plays in Africa.
The event was organized by the Egyptian Embassy which is currently leading the African Ambassadors’ group in Qatar. The event featured a music and dance show about many African cultural, arts and natural resources including Ethiopia.
