5 Magnitude earthquake strikes South Sandwich Islands in Atlantic Ocean
An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale struck on Tuesday the South Sandwich Islands, one of the British overseas territories in the South Atlantic Ocean.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
So far, there have been no reports of material or human damage.
Last week, a 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck the South Sandwich Islands, with a depth of 10 kilometers.
The South Sandwich Islands is an archipelago that forms part of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, which is an overseas territory of the United Kingdom.
