3rd Qatari-Saudi coordination meeting on World Cup entry procedures begins in Doha

On Wednesday, the third Qatar-Saudi Arabia coordination conference addressing the entrance policies for visitors arriving through the Abu Samra border crossing during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 began. It will last for two days at the Sheraton Doha Hotel.

The Saudi delegation was led by Brig. Gen. Saud bin Bandar Al-Sour, Assistant Director General of Passports for Border Affairs, while Brig. Nasser bin Abdullah Al Thani, Director of the Border Passports Department, represented Qatar.

Brig. Nasser bin Abdullah Al Thani welcomed the Saudi delegation to their second country, Qatar, and expressed his wishes that the efforts would ensure the smooth entry of fans and guests into Qatar through the Abu Samra border crossing.

He mentioned that the present meeting is a continuation of what was discussed in the previous two meetings to enhance cooperation concerning entry and exit procedures during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The meeting reviewed the latest developments on the approved entry mechanism for those coming to Qatar during the tournament through the Abu Samra border crossing and other topics on the agenda.
