Apple releases macOS update 14.4.1 to fix Mac issues

 

In order to address several issues with the macOS Sonoma operating system on Mac computers, Apple has released macOS 14.4.1.

Three weeks have passed since the release of the previous update, macOS Sonoma14.4, which caused numerous problems with Mac systems and sparked numerous complaints.

Apple’s release notes describe the corrections introduced in macOS Sonoma 14.4.1, addressing numerous major issues that customers have identified.

The update fixes issues like Java users’ apps closing unexpectedly and USB hubs linked to external screens not being recognized. It also addresses issues with professional music programs not opening when Audio Unit plug-ins are used.

Since the release of the macOS 14.4 update, users of Macs have been complaining about three significant flaws. Oracle advised users to wait to update to macOS 14.4 until the Java bug was resolved, specifically alerting consumers to it last week.

The latest version addresses a few more security holes in the system in addition to resolving previous problems.

Through the Software Update section of System Preferences, all compatible Mac devices can download the latest macOS 14.4.1 update. To benefit from security updates, users who are still using macOS Ventura can also download macOS 13.6.6.
