The Mowasalat (Karwa) Transport Services Team is well-prepared to meet the transportation needs of supporters during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
According to a tweet from the corporation, the team consists of over 14,000 employees, including drivers, ground staff, and operations staff.

A trial run of over 1,300 buses operated by the company lately in and around Doha. The trial run involved moving football spectators between the eight stadiums in Qatar and throughout Doha as they arrived for the massive event that took place from November 20 to December 18. As part of its efforts to get its drivers ready to “Deliver Amazing” during the World Cup, Mowasalat (Karwa) launched the program.

To ensure efficient and wide public transportation operations during the World Cup, which will take place from November 20 to December 18, Qatar is undertaking enormous preparations. The Lusail Tram, Doha Metro, and bus services are all included in this.
The final batch of the 741 electric buses that Qatar had ordered for the World Cup arrived at Hamad Port in April of this year, totaling 130. According to the Ministry of Transportation, the fleet will be entirely run by Mowasalat (Karwa) and integrated into the nation’s public transportation system, leaving a long-lasting legacy of clean-energy mass transit after the competition (MoT).
Electric buses will be utilized for metrolink services in 2022. In addition to placing them in Lusail City and Al Khor, they will also be employed on public transportation routes that will essentially run in Doha. For the e-bus fleet operations, there will be around 200 operational and administrative staff members and over 3,000 drivers.
The fleet of electric buses is part of the ministry’s strategy to switch to electric vehicles, which was created in collaboration with the relevant organizations, and it supports the implementation of the action plan. 25% of the bus fleet for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will become electric once all of Qatar’s electric bus order has been delivered.
